faith builds our future. our daily lives are founded on faith. the divine resides in this human faith. mankind believes that the almighty is the source of all creation, the arbiter of good and evil, right and wrong. the common man looks for god in the place of worship, in the altar at home, in the images of journals and calendars, even in a stone on the wayside. he looks to the omnipotent for assurance and deliverance in times of despair.
one puja ends in immersion, another idol starts being built. in conclusions lie beginnings, and even the empty altar has a faint flickering lamp keeping the faith alive. the sad music of departure is but returning the earthen idol to the earth, returning the creator to created nature. man lives by his faith of god. and god lives in the faith of man.
